Multi-Media Art Exhibition Fundraising Event benefiting families in Haiti

New ParagraphMany families in rural areas throughout Haiti lack family portraits and have no visual account (photographs) of self and of ancestors. A Reflection of Me project captures and provides families with family portraits. Along with portraits many youths from the towns will receive cameras, photography lessons to empower them with a gained skill to build self-identity, esteem and trade. On Sunday, November 5, 2017 Juicing With Art and nonprofit, We Stand Together, Inc. partner to raise funds for this innovative project for the betterment of the people of Haiti in Downtown Miami at Mindwarehouse, hosted by Eric Yutzy of Channel 10 News, with guest speaker Commissioner Jean Monestime. Juicing With Art has had the pleasure to begin the project in the northwest sector of Haiti and have captured nearly 200 family portraits. None of these families have family portraits. The families’ excitement of this project has sparked ideas from the participants on ways they can improve their towns. This project is a unique form of community building instilling pride in country, family and self.
